4 Impressive Features of the 2022 Lincoln Aviator

1. Powerful V6 Engine as Standard

The Lincoln Aviator comes equipped with an impressive 400hp, twin-turbo V6 engine as standard, the most powerful default engine across the entire segment. Working with a slick 10-speed automatic transmission, the engine delivers both smooth highway cruising and sharp, responsive acceleration with ease. In the Grand Touring trim, the same engine type is paired with an electric motor in a plug-in hybrid configuration which pushes the Aviator to 490hp with 630lb-ft of torque.

2. A Top Pick for Safety

The Aviator performed so well in IIHS safety testing back in 2021 that the organization awarded it a prestigious Top Safety Pick. The other major testing organization, the NHTSA, also awarded the Aviator its highest rating of five stars overall when they tested it. As if this wasn’t enough, a huge range of safety features is included as standard on all variants of the Aviator, while more are available as optional extras.

Some of the standard features that are included across all models are lane departure warnings, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, and both front and rear parking sensors. If you’re looking for more, then lane keeping assistance, rear automatic braking, and parking assistance are available depending on which trim you choose.

3. A Comfortable and Spacious Interior

The Aviator has a unique, art-deco-inspired interior with comfortable seats across all its three rows. There’s space in the back for three adults, and either two or three people in the second row, depending on whether you choose the comfortable captain’s chairs. If you do, you’ll get a choice of center consoles, with the option for easier access on long trips. In the front seats, the optional Perfect Position package gives you 30-way adjustability and even massaging capabilities. It’s perfect for long trips!

4. High Tech Connectivity

While other vehicles force complicated rotary controllers or multiple touchscreens upon their passengers, the Aviator keeps things simple with a single screen and traditional climate controls that are incredibly intuitive to use. On higher trim variants, high-tech features such as the ability to unlock and start the Aviator with just a smartphone are available.

Think the Aviator sounds like the perfect vehicle for you? Then head to Performance Lincoln today, and our friendly staff will be happy to schedule you a test drive.

Car AC

The long winter months can take their toll on many components in a car, and the AC is no exception. As your Lincoln dealer, we can fix a car AC not working to get that cold air flowing again. These are a few signs of problems that can develop in your AC.

Is Your Car AC Not Working? Visit Your Randolph Lincoln Dealer

AC Is Only Cold When You Accelerate

If your AC only generates cold air when you accelerate, you have an AC problem. The cause of this problem is a worn compressor. The compressor is a key part of your AC system. When you turn on your AC, you’ll hear a slight click as the compressor switches on.

The compressor must generate high pressure to convert the refrigerant, and as a compressor wears out, it produces less pressure, which prevents the air from cooling. When your car accelerates, the faster air movement into your car increases the pressure in the compressor. This speed up the compressor, and your air becomes colder. We can’t fix a worn compressor, but we can install a new one for you.

AC Doesn’t Blow Air

Air is drawn into the Ac through the vent underneath your windshield. This air then moves through the AC where it’s cooled. When you turn on your AC, you expect this cold air to fill your cabin. If you get no airflow through your vents, we need to investigate the problem. There are several possible causes, including a blockage in the ducts, a broken blower motor, or an electrical issue.

Leaves, dirt, and other debris can be drawn in and block the ducts over time. If the duct is blocked, it will prevent airflow into your cabin. The blower motor is responsible for blowing the cold air from the AC into the cabin. If the motor fails, there won’t be any air movement through the vents.

AC Smells Like Mildew

The AC is a perfect breeding ground for mold. It’s dark, has moisture, and is quiet for the winter months. A mold infestation isn’t noticeable until the first hot day of summer, and you turn on your AC to cool yourself. The musty, damp smell that blows out of your AC is a warning that mold has taken over part of the AC.

This is an easy problem to fix. Our technicians will remove the cabin air filter and pump a powerful anti-bacterial and anti-mold cleaning solution into the AC. We’ll then run the AC system to circulate the solution throughout the ducts, components, and crevices of the system. Once your AC has been cleaned, we’ll fit a new cabin air filter.

AC problems shouldn’t spoil your summer driving. Call us at Performance Lincoln.
